Design and Ergonomics
 
The E-450 weighs only 380g and has dimensions of 129.5 x 91 x 53 mm (without protrusions).
 
2.7 inch Hyper Crystal II LCD
 
The 2.7 inch Hyper Crystal II LCD displays crisp and clear images on screen even in bright sunlight. You can view images from almost any angle up to 176°. The high-grade, fully-transmissive technology used employs an additional layer at the bottom of the LCD to reflect light from external light sources.
 
Picture Quality
 
The E-450 features a 10 Megapixel Live MOS sensor and the latest-generation TruePic III+ processor so that every picture is clear. With 10 megapixels, you can get 8x12 with room for cropping and greater enlargement is possible for poster size prints.
 
TruePic III+
 
TruePic image processors create images with higher resolution and higher contrast. The speed of image processing and camera operation is enhanced while providing the best colour reproduction even for difficult colours.
 
Performance Features
 
The E-450 Incorporates 3-point AF areas, which features focus tracking,  single AF + MF and continuous AF + MF.
 
With high sensitivity up to 1600ISO, the Olympus E-450 has a shutter speed range of 1/4000 - 60 s and can shoot at speeds up to 3.5 fps.

Live View with High Speed Contrast AF
 
The E-450’s Live View with High Speed Contrast AF lets you shoot easily via the LCD and gives you full control of the image before shooting. Just take your picture while looking at the LCD – this way you’ll always have your subject idea in focus. The camera focuses in a split second as soon as you press the shutter release halfway down. The large 6.9cm HyperCrystal II display shows a pin-sharp preview with brilliant colours even in bright sunlight, and provides a viewing angle of 176° for shooting even from extreme angles.
 
Live View mode
 
In Live View mode, two valuable functions help you to realise your creative ideas perfectly. Face Detection ensures that your portrait shots are always precisely focused and exposed. At the same time, the Shadow Adjustment Technology of the E-450 automatically identifies, corrects and lightens any shadow elements in your picture that would appear too dark. This guarantees optimum exposure every time and for every picture.
