Design and Ergonomics

Weighing 270g with the battery and with dimensions of 60 x 60.5 x 125mm, this video camera features a 2.7" LCD display, providing 112K pixels resolution viewing clarity.

Lens and Audio-Visual Quality

The lens features a 34X optical zoom as well as a Digital Zoom of 1,200X.

Capturing standard definition footage of 0.4 megapixels resolution video, and captures photos at 0.48 megapixels resolution, this video camera features a AAC 2 channel stereo audio format and features manual white balance and manual focus.

SD Recording System Features

This camera records in high definition to SD cards which means users store their video footage onto small, interchangeable and reusable media. Recording direct to SD cards means there are no moving parts in the recording section, which means that the video camera is exceptionally resistant to impact and tough conditions and the use of memory card recording media is in part responsible for the ultra compact build achievable with flash memory video cameras. SD cards are also easy to store and to use as archive material.

This camera has a built-in internal memory of 32GB, which will store 3 hours 40 minutes of High Defintiion footage shot at the highest quality setting.

Sharing your life with friends and family becomes easier with the SAMSUNG MX20.

By selecting the Web & Mobile mode, you can shoot in an H.264 that supports MP3 players and YouTube. The video files recorded by the SAMSUNG MX20 can easily be used with a transfer program and played on an H.264-supported MP3 player. The YouTube uploader in the Mediashow software bundle enables direct YouTube upload which bypasses the YouTube homesite.

3D noise reduction

The MX20 transcend the boundaries of convention by introducing 3D noise reduction that dramatically eliminates noise while maintaining the original edge and pattern of the image.

By analysing motion between the frames, the frames are split into pattern / edge frames and differential frames and are passed through separate filters which maintain the pattern and edge and remove noise. After filtering, the frames are combined once more to make a cleaner, clearer image.

face detection AF technology

Unlike conventional camcorders, the MX20's advanced Face Detection AF technology targets the faces in the screen. With intelligent face detection auto-focus, faces are always focused-on, even if they are not in the centre of the screen.
