Design and Ergonomics

With dimensions of 129.5 x 91 x 53 mm, the E-450 can fit comfortably in smaller hands and has a slight ergonomic bulge on the shutter button side for easy-grip while shooting. The 2.7- inch Hypercrystal II LCD allows users to view captured images, even in bright sunlight, by using the sunlight to boost the monitors own brightness.

Picture Quality

With 10 megapixels you can get an 8x12 inch print at full resolution with greater enlargement possible to achieve high quality poster size prints. The TruePic III processor has been used to improve image processing time and offer enhanced camera operation, including better noise reduction at higher ISOs.

Performance Features

The  TruePic III+ image processor guarantees exceptionally true-to-life image reproduction while reducing noise and enhancing processing speed and it is possible to shoot at up to 3.5fps in full Megapixel mode with up to eight images in RAW buffer.  ISO Sensitivity ranges from 100 – 1600.
Technology Features

LiveView displays what the camera is seeing on the LCD, which makes composing for awkward shots like shooting over crowds easier.

Olympus have also made autofocus in this mode possible, although it does so at the expense of a short shutter lag. The advanced sensor cleaning system uses supersonic waves to physically shake dust off the sensor for cleaner, clearer pictures.

The Face Detection feature tracks up to eight faces within the image area, automatically focusing and optimizes exposure, while Perfect Shot Preview enables users to preview and select various photographic effects on a live, multi-window screen on the LCD before snapping the shot.

There is also a dual-slot memory compartment for xd-Picture Card and CompactFlash and a range of 28 convenient scene modes for ease of use.
