Design and Ergonomics

This is a fairly compact advanced digital camera, with a light weight of 412g and resembles the build of an SLR with a very pronounced ergonomic bulge on the shutter button side. The FZ35 features a large, 2.7-inch Intelligent LCD with 230,000-dot resolution, designed to be  clearly visible in virtually all conditions, and a four way d-pad used for navigation through menus and as short cuts to functions

Lens and Image Quality

With 12.1 megapixels you can get an 10x12 inch print at full resolution with greater enlargement possible to achieve high quality poster size prints.

The 27mm wide angle LEICA DC VARIO-ELMARIT lens with F2.8-4.4 brightness and powerful 18x optical zoom (equivalent to 27-486mm on a 35mm film camera) makes this advanced digi cam great for shots requiring a wide-angle lens, or powerful telephoto, which works during motion recording as well.

Key Features

Intelligent Exposure prevents photos from being under- or over-exposed by instantly analyzing the framed image and adjusting the brightness in areas that are too dark because of dim lighting, backlighting or the use of the flash. The camera will automatically adjust the brightness accordingly.  Digital Red-eye Correction eliminates the red-eye problem that sometimes results when taking flash shots at night.  Incorporated into the camera, the built-in flash emits a small preliminary flash before the main flash, detects red-eye and will digitally correct it.
MEGA O.I.S.  Gyrosensors detect hand-shake and the lens system shifts to compensate, helping to prevent hand-shake from creating a blurry image.

Intelligent ISO determines if the photo subject is moving and changes the ISO setting and shutter speed accordingly, thus giving a blur-free photo. Quick AF (Auto Focus) Starts focus on the subject by just pointing the camera at the subject, thus minimizing the AF time.

The Sandisk 4GB Ultra II SD Card captures images at 9 Mbit/second, providing the storage capability for your camera to take 10 megapixel RAW + JPEG images at a maximum of 1 per 1.5 seconds or JPEG Only at a maximum of 2.5 frames per second. It has storage capacity for approximately 256 RAW+JPEG images or 1140 JPEG Only images.
