Design and Ergonomics
With a 27.1mm thick, black body the Leica D-Lux4 has a neat, and simple button layout with a 4 way day pad to navigate through the menu. Its 3” LCd displays in a ghigh 460k pixel resolution.
Lens and Image Quality
With 10 megapixels you can get an 8x12 inch print at full resolution with greater enlargement possible to achieve high quality poster size prints. Image quality is at the heart of the camera with the option of recording either in Fine, Standard, RAW or combinations and the 2.5 times LEICA DC VARIO-SUMMICRON optical zoom lens is a 35mm equivalent of 28-60mm for coverage from extra wide to short telephoto, to suit situations from large group pictures to portraits and has integrated optical image stabilisation and is capable of a high 3200 ISO light sensitivity.
Key Features
The camera has optical image stabilisation which allows sharper pictures to be taken at slower shutter speeds, which is useful for indoor photography or taking pictures under low light where the need for flash can either be eliminated or reduced so that more of the ambient light can expose through for better mood pictures.
Easy automatic picture taking is accommodated with 23 available picture modes such as night portrait, baby and candlelight.
