Design and Ergonomics

The Simple-to-use Sony DCR-HC52 handycam weighs 380 and has Dimensions of 63x85x115mm mm with batteries.
It functions has a miini DV recording function and features a 2.5 inch touch panel LCD screen making it simple to use, and displays a resolution of roughly 123k pixels.

Sony has incorporated the Carl Zeiss® Vario-Tessar®  Lens in the DCR-HC54 with a 40x Optical and 2000x digital zoom
The built in Microphone records in 2 ch stereo (1/16 bit).

Recording System

Mini-DV cassette is still the highest quality system amongst current consumer recording options providing a 25Mbps combination of audio and video stream. Mini-DV tapes are typically provide 60 minutes normal play recording and 90 minutes long play and are easy to archive. Your recordings will still have to be captured to PC and possibly edited before creating DVDs.
