Leica Spotting Scopes
The Leica #42309 Digiscoping Adapter allows the D-Lux 4 to affix to the rear of the 65mm & 82mm Televid spotting scopes with the 25-50x WW eyepiece attached. A portion of the D-Lux 4's front is removed, exposing a proprietary female thread which matches a male thread on the rear (where light would leave) of this digiscoping adapter. After you mate camera with adapter, the pair is fitted on to the outside of the 65mm & 82mm Televid's 25-50x WW eyepiece barrel. As with all efforts in digiscoping, great care should be taken to minimize vibrations given the extremely high effective magnifications. A sturdy tripod with pan/tilt head is an absolute necessity.
