This lens is only for use with APS-C size sensor digital SLR cameras (as opposed to full frame), ie Nikon DX entry and midrange DSLRs. It can be used with a wide variety of subjects and it is an ideal large aperture standard zoom lens, providing a 35mm equivalent focal length range of 25-105mm. This lens has a minimum focusing distance of 20cm (7.9") throughout the entire zoom range and has a maximum magnification of 1:2.3. Aspherical lens elements and the multi layer lens coating reduces flare, ghosting and aberrations, which are common problems with digital cameras.

The internal focussing system makes it easy to use a circular polariser as the front element does not rotate.
