The Sony 28mm f2.8 Wide-Angle lens provides 75° angle of view, and kitted on the Sony Alpha 100 digital SLR camera, it achieves a 35mm equivalent of 42 mm   and offers a normal to slightly wide of normal perspective, for urban scenes and general photography.
Compact and lightweight, it is ideal for travelling and long duration shooting, and captures advanced detail in background and foreground, with its wide angle optics and deep depth of field.

The Sony 50mm F1.4 is a higher powered lens, equivalent to a 75mm focal length on a 35mm format camera and offers good quality perspective for mid-size portrait shots. Although not a true macro lens, with a maximum magnification ratio of 0.15x, this lens will still be useful for close-up photography applications.
