Tilt and shift lenses provide the user with the kind of creative scope previously only possible on large format bellows cameras. Used as a corrective measure or for creative manipulation, the lens is able to correct for or create distorion and alter the focal plane of the shot for selective focus control as either very wide or very narrow. This 90mm lens will provide a 35mm film equivalent focal length of 144mm on APS-C size format SLRS, ie, all cameras with model numbers greater than 10. All tilt and shift lenses are manual focus and are able to give a very sharp focus. It has a close focussing distance of 0.5m

The TS-E 24 mm f/3.5L II has been refined to deliver superb image quality to the edge of the image.
Canon’s unique rotation system allows for the tilt and shift direction to be rotated independently of each other. This allows perspective and depth of field to be controlled separately - enhancing the flexibility of the lens. With a wide angle 24mm focal length and ±8.5° of tilt available, plus ±12mm shift and ±90° of rotation on both the tilt and the shift mechanisms, the TS-E 24 mm f/3.5L II offers exceptional flexibility. The TS-E 24 mm f/3.5L II also feature locks on the tilt and shift mechanisms to ensure that unwanted movements are avoided.
