Occultdale Rd | a wonderland for photographers
If you happen to live in Cape Town or one day find yourself roaming our beautiful city, then as a photographer I have to suggest a visit to this beautiful but mostly secret road just off the N7.
Occultdale Rd. Even the name suggests intrigue!
If you want to catch the Canola fields in bloom, the bright yellow fields, then you best go visit Occultdale very soon as within a month or so the fields will fade to their usual earthy tones. Otherwise there is a marvelous assortment of bird life and plant life (gorgeous white lillies!) to photograph among the rolling green hills and lonely farm houses.
Here are a couple of my photos from the adventure I had along Occultdale Rd today…

Hey, I was there 2 weeks ago!!!! I live in Melkbosstrand and decided to drive inland a bit to see the canola - had no idea where I was going!!! Ended up right where you were - wow - awesome sights! Got some really nice pics too!! If I wanted to post them, where and how would I do it!!!!! Nice piccies by the way!
Its really gorgeous out there! We would LOVE to see your pics. We have a group on Facebook and you can email the pics to cat @ clickthru.co.za so that we can put it into our albums.
