While the Bushnell Yardage Pro V2 is not waterproof or fog proof, it does have a mode called Rain Mode which will compensates for precipitation while measuring through snow or rain fall in order to guarantee an accurate distance.

The V2 has a maximum range of 915 meters (minimum of 5 meters) and a 5 times magnification.

How Does the Pinseeker Work?
With the use of advanced laser technology the Pinseeker is able to accurately measure the distance between yourself and an object. You will look through the eyepiece, which is shaped very similarly to a pair of binoculars, and aim your laser at the object you wish to target. The Pinseeker unit will then shoot a pulse of light at that object and track the amount of time it takes for the light to reach your target and bounce back at the Pinseeker. After a moment where its mathematical brain is buzzing away, the speed of that laser is converted to a distance. (your choice of meters or yards)

If you set your Pinseeker to Scan Mode; while you scan the tree lines on the golf course, your device will continuously update the distance between you and your target and display this on the LCD screen.

The Pinseeker mode will try to source the flag amongst the trees by gathering a number of signals and then displaying the shortest distance of those.
