pocketwizplusii_largeThe Pocket Wizard Plus II Transceiver is so incredibly easy to use. It has a basic no mess no fuss, plug and play concept with a 500 meter radius.

To make your life even easier, the Plus II Transceiver knows whether it is sending signal or receiving a command and automatically switches between the two options. (of course for a more specific kind of control you can turn off this autosensing and use the Transceiver as you have set it)

The Pocket Wizard Plus II Transceiver has the incredible ability to fire off 12 triggers per second, meaning that you can shoot your images at 12 frames per second (of course if you camera only shoots for example 8 frames per second then that would be the max the Wizard Plus could shoot as well, but at least you know you are working with a transceiver that is not holding back the capabilities of your camera)

A functioned called Auto Replay lets you do some amazing things with the transmitter. You can basically set up a web of cameras and flashes and one Pocket Wizard Plus II Transceiver can set off another one which tells the camera to fire and in turn sends a signal off to other remote flashes and (or) other remote cameras you have set up telling them to fire as well.

The Pocket Wizard Plus II Transceiver has super-fast microprocessors which allow trigger-response times as short as 1/2000th of a second enabling reliable sync speeds of 1/250th for focal plane shutters and 1/500th for leaf shutters.

You can simultaneously trigger all of your lights in one go with the choice of four 16 bit, digitally coded channels. You also have the option of separating groups and having then trigger at different times for a more complex set up. You can use the Multi-Channel switching to isolate certain lights, which is a more appropriate way of shooting when you are working in range of other photographers.

You can purchase dedicated camera triggers for all popular camera systems and you can purchase miniphone connector cables for all major brands of lighting equipment (these are available in lengths of up to 16 inches / 40 cm)

Your Pocket Wizard Plus II Transceiver is powered by 2 AA batteries which will last around 60 hours. If you are planning on shooting for longer than that you can plug in the AC Adapter and work off that (which naturally means unlimited shooting time)

The build of the Pocket Wizard Plus II Transceiver is sturdy, strong and durable. The antenna isn’t annoyingly large and is covered in rubber for protection and durability as well. The complete height including the antenna is 16.3cm and the total weight with batteries is 130grams.

There is a built in lock-ring for hot shoes to make sure that the Pocket Wizard Plus II Transceiver has a secure fit onto your camera. You can also use the ¼ 20 female thread mount or lanyard for holding. (and there is a Velcro option too).

Pocket Wizard Plus II Transceivers operate on a low-use radio frequency which will reduce interference and misfires resulting from outside devices or other transceivers in the area.

The Pocket Wizard Plus II Transceiver is completely compatible with earlier versions of the Pocket Wizard series and is compatible with virtually every popular flash and professional camera system.
